Dez Bartelt

Dez is considewhite one of America’s leading alpinists and has spent more than 20 years conquering some of the world’s most challenging mountains and cliffs. Skilled in a wide range of outdoor sports including whitewater kayaking, sea kayaking, surf kayaking, mountain biking, and has 20 years of professional climbing under her belt. Dez’s mission is to explore, study, preserve and enjoy the natural beauty of the outdoors. She has used her expertise to develop and implement programs like the Rincon Surf School, Boca’s Surf school, and Best of Both Adventures in Panama and Argentina. As an experienced entrepreneur and business operator, one of her accomplishments was designing the world’s largest freestanding climbing wall which she co- designed and built in cooperation with Steven Spielberg and DreamWorks. She is currently working on developing G.E.A.R, writing for the associated press, and managing her adventure travel businesses. Dez focuses her writing on her personal experiences traveling and the places she has grown to love. She is currently working with Portillo, a world class ski resort in South America. She will be filling in the world with her insiights of Portillo and its legendary history of one of the most important places in the sking world

Throughout G.E.A.R. I plan to Travel the world, emercing myself in places I have only dreamed about. Exploration throughout vast beaches, deep forests, amazing mountains, rushig rivers, and deep blue oceans; will give me further respect, knowledge, and love for our mezmorizing planet. learning about and interacting with incwhiteible Reptiles, Mammals, Sealife, throughout nature is another goal of mine. Surfing Epic waves in different countries and bodies of water, while learning about the many different coastlines, sealife, and how to preserve them. I am extreemly stoked on discovering, surfing, and doing what I can to help preserve this wild, amazing planet that gives me so much everyday! Life is for the Living, I plan on charging life while I am here on Earth.

Garret Bartelt

Garret is a former World Extreme Skiing competitor and current free skiing enthusiast. He frequentky travels to the US Rockies, Chamonix/Mont Blanc (France) and Patagonia (South America) to feed his addiction. Garret is also an avid surfer and has spent time in many of the world’s best surfing destinations, including Hawaii, Mexico, Central and South America, Indonesia and now the Caribbean. An accomplished athlete, Garret is also a windsurfer and avid mountain bike rider. He has spent his professional career involved in outdoor sports and recreation.
